It's the first thing everyone wants to know and the last thing most cleaners will tell you before they're standing in your lounge room. So here it is, straight: what carpet cleaning costs on the Sunshine Coast, what's included, and where the price can move.
The short answer
With A1, it's $260 for up to four rooms of carpet, fixed. Extra rooms are around $30 each, so a five-bedroom home with a living area and hallway usually lands between $280 and $340. A lounge up to four seats is also $260 on its own, and once you bundle carpet and couch together the combination starts at $330 — roughly $190 less than booking them as two visits.
Most Sunshine Coast families spend between $260 and $430 once a couch or mattress is added. That's the honest range; if a quote is far below it, keep reading.
What's included in that price
- Truck-mounted hot water extraction at 120°C — not a portable machine wheeled in from the boot.
- Heavy pre-spray on traffic lanes and soiled areas.
- Cleaning around your furniture — move anything you want cleaned under before we arrive and it's included.
- Natural, residue-free cleaning products that are safe for kids and pets once dry.
- No call-out fee on top. The price is the price.
Why the $99 quote becomes $300 at the door
You've seen the ads: three rooms for $99. It works because the $99 buys a wipe-over with a portable machine and the real money comes from add-ons once the tech is in your house: pre-spray, deodoriser, stain treatment, "heavy soiling", drying fans. By the time you've said yes to what a clean actually needs, you're paying more than a fixed-price operator would have charged — for a worse result.
The fix is simple: ask what's included before you book, and ask what could change the price. A straight answer to both is worth more than the number itself.
The one thing that can change your price (and how we handle it)
Stains. Stain treatment is $14 per stain, and we can only count the ones you tell us about. Once we're in the room we regularly find a few more — the coffee by the couch, the spot the dog thought was hidden. When that happens we point them out, price them, and get your OK before we start. Nothing goes on the bill you haven't agreed to.
What about the extras?
- Couch seats: $35 each (fabric) or $45 (leather) when added to a carpet clean.
- Queen mattress: $60, single $45, king $70.
- Rugs: $28 to $62 depending on size.
- Tile and grout: from $6 per square metre for most homes, from $4 for large areas.
- Flea treatment: $40 plus $10 per room — the usual end-of-lease add-on.
How to keep the bill down
- Bundle. Because there's a $260 minimum per visit, small items are nearly free once you're already booking carpet or a couch. A rug on a three-room job can cost as little as $5 extra.
- Count your stains before we arrive and mention them when you book, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- Vacuum well the day before. It doesn't change our price, but it means the machine spends its time on soil rather than surface fluff, and the result is better.
- Don't wait until it's desperate. Carpet cleaned every 12 to 18 months costs the same to clean as carpet cleaned every five years, but looks a decade younger.
Standard or Premium?
Every price above is our Standard package. Premium adds pre-treatment of small stains, counter-rotating brush agitation and deodoriser (plus a fabric protector on upholstery), for a small extra charge per room or seat. It's worth it for pets, heavy traffic, older carpet and lounges you want protected. The estimator has a toggle so you can see both numbers side by side.
